Notice of Publication of Draft Public Environment Report: Invitation for Public Comment

The following notice is published pursuant to Section 98(1)(c) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

Moah Creek Wind Farm Project Co Pty Ltd (as trustee for Moah Creek Wind Farm Project Trust) (the Proponent) proposes to construct, operate and decommission the Moah Creek Wind Farm Project (the Project).  This will involve up to 60 wind turbine generators and associated ancillary infrastructure. The Project is located 30km west of Rockhampton, 10km north-west of Stanwell, in the Rockhampton Regional Council area of Queensland.

 The Project (EPBC 2023/09620) was determined a controlled action under the EPBC Act with assessment by Public Environment Report.  The controlling provisions are:

  • Listed threatened species and communities (section 18 & section 18A, EPBC Act)

  • Listed migratory species (section 20 & section 20A, EPBC Act)

Pursuant to section 98(1)(c) of the EPBC Act, the draft Public Environment Report is available for public viewing for no cost online here, or in hard copy at the following locations:

  • Gracemere Library - 1 Ranger Street, Gracemere Qld 4702

  • Rockhampton Southside Library – 230 Bolsover Street, Rockhampton Qld 4702

  • State Library of Queensland – Stanley Place, South Brisbane Qld 4101

The draft Public Environment Report may be obtained from the Proponent in digital format at no cost, upon request, using the contact details below.

The public comment period is for 20 business days and commences on 24th September 2025 and closes on 24th October 2025. All times are Australian Eastern Standard Time.
