Community

We are committed to honest, early and comprehensive engagement with stakeholders and communities.

The transition to renewable energy must occur fairly for First Nations people and their communities.

We have partnered with the Darumbal people through an Indigenous Land Use Agreement and Benefits Agreement, based on mutual respect and a shared vision for Moah Creek Wind Farm.

We are working in collaboration with the Community Consultative Committee to develop and deliver co-designed, legacy benefits to the region. This includes over $19M of community funding.

Additionally, neighbours who reside within 3km of Moah Creek Wind Farm will now be eligible to receive a $1000 direct energy discount to their residential electricity bill.

Community feedback has directly shaped the project’s layout, design, and operational strategies to minimise impacts on residents and the surrounding environment.

The CQP team hold regular public information sessions where you can meet the team, learn about the project and share your thoughts.

Our vision is to create positive and enduring social and economic legacies.

Recognising the long-term impact of our projects, we strive to ensure community satisfaction. Through collaboration, we aim to bolster resilience against climate shifts and support local innovation and manufacturing.

CQP Community Engagement Advisors regularly hold events in the surrounding areas of the Project. These events provide the opportunity to ask questions, and to learn about the Project in greater detail. Updates will be issued on the website following the events.

Community Consultative Committee

CQP has established a Community Consultative Committee (CCC) for the Moah Creek Renewable Energy Projects. The CCC will assist the project team in providing open communication during the development, construction, and early operations of the Project.
